P.A.T`s study grants

§ 1 P.A.T supports studies which lead to trades that are relevant to participation in P.A.T`s activities. Studies that lead to an appointment in P.A.T will receive first priority.

§ 2 Grants are offered to Norwegian students who study in Norway, or abroad, if the equivalent studies are not offered in Norway. Foreign students can apply for grants for studies in their own countries or for studies in Norway if an equivalent education is not offered in their own countries.

§ 3 P.A.T`s grants come in addition to grants from the State Student Bank, or other national state financing; not as a replacement for it.

§ 4 The aim of P.A.T`s grant is so that the student can avoid taking up a study loan. The grants size will be based on a needs test where consideration is given to the study costs, books, and the cost of living at the place of study.

§ 5 A contract is signed between P.A.T and the student where both parties responsibilities are spesified. The conditions for P.A.T`s responsibility are described in § 4. The student agrees to work for fre board and lodging for P.A.T for 3 weeks for every month the study has gone on with support from P.A.T.

§ 6 The size of the fund will decide when and how many grants will be offered. P.A.T`s board decides when the grants wil be advertised. The board's decisions cannot be appealed.

§ 7 The funds capital is raised from transfers from P.A.T's business interests, gifts from private persons and private / public institutions, as well as wills and testaments.
